To encourage stronger relationships between Victorian people of Lebanese background and the wider Victorian community.
To enhance awareness of the Australian-Lebanese community with an emphasis on promoting a balanced and accurate representation.
To provide information and community education on a broad range of issues to the wider community.
To act as a consultative body to Government, media and professional organisations, and provide policy advice to Government on all matters affecting the Australian-Lebanese community.
To research, highlight and promote the achievements and contributions of the Australian-Lebanese people to the wider Australian community.
To encourage greater participation of Australian-Lebanese in Australian social and political life.
To maintain and further build coordinated and supportive partnerships, including networking opportunities.
To oppose extremism and community division, and reinforce active work towards strengthening community cohesion.
The Victorian Lebanese Community Council (VLCC) acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands across Australia upon which we work. We recognise the continued connection of First Nations people to the land, the waterways and to community and kin, and pay respects to Elders past and present.
